Some stairwells are so inviting. They appeal to the eyes and make you want to venture upstairs and see what waits for you. I think a good stair runner is essential to complete the look of a stairwell, and I've seen some fabulous ones recently. I am also a fan of painted stairs or reclaimed wood stairs, the simplicity can be beautiful. The stairwell is one of my favorite places to hang great wall art. I especially love hanging pictures that run all the way up the stairs along the wall. Here are some stunning stairwells....
