In addition to mirrors, I love using large clocks in many different rooms of a home. They look great, serve a purpose, and can be the final touch that completes a room beautifully. They can be an ideal corner piece, the perfect size for a bald spot on a wall, or the essential piece to hang above a fireplace or piece of furniture.
